We introduced you to entrepreneurs Wei Chang,Jeff Kong, and Robert McCormick in Fall of 2014 when we featured the Glion Smart Scooter Model 100 – The Ultimate Commuter Electric Scooter- on the Nebraska Rural Living website. The Glion grabbed public attention while featured on a Kickstarter Campaign and “Visionaries” from all over the world responded with orders, and their scooters were delivered in the spring of 2015. team picture (2)
“What a thrill to receive photos and testimonials from happy Glion owners, all using their scooters in unique ways to create time and add fun to their day,” Robert McCormick said. “Today we are excited to announce the launch of the next generation of Glion scooters—the Glion Dolly. Like the Model 100, the Glion Dolly is lightweight and foldable, powered by lithium battery technology, and can transport the average adult up to 15 miles at speeds of up to 15 mph—all on a single charge!”

“Our goal has always been portable transportation,” said Jeff Kong. “Portability makes a huge difference in any last mile solution. Though the Glion Dolly weighs only 26 lbs, carrying it into crowded public transportation wasn’t easy. With the first of its kind dolly feature, you can simply wheel the Glion Dolly like you would a carry on roller bag suitcase and it can stand next to you and take up less than a square foot. We want the Glion to be user friendly in its non-driving or portability mode too.”JOE_GLION

The Glion Dolly is featured in a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter on August 5th to raise funds to move from working prototypes to production. Offered at $519 for early bird preorders during the Kickstarter campaign, the Glion Dolly Electric Scooter is expected to ultimately retail in excess of $650.AMBER2_GLION

I love the uniqueness of the Glion dolly. I have reviewed many different electric scooters for adults on my blog and this is one of the best I have come across.

These personal transport devices are really changing the way we commute and move around locally. I think the shift is going to become more prominent in the coming years.

    Thanks the great article!
